Geosfera Indonesia : | ISSN: 2598-9723 (Print)| ISSN: 2614-8528 (Online) is an international open access and peer-reviewed journal, published by Department of Geography Education, University of Jember, Indonesia. Geosfera Indonesia publishes original research articles and review papers in the field of geography, with a particular focus on spatial environmental processes and human–environment interactions. The journal aims to advance geographic knowledge on environmental dynamics and landscape processes through spatial perspectives and geospatial analysis at regional and global scales. The journal primarily focuses on:
Spatial Environmental Processes : research examining spatial patterns and dynamics of environmental systems, including landforms, climate, hydrology, soils, and landscape evolution.
Geospatial Analysis in Environmental Studies : the application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and spatial modeling to investigate environmental processes and monitor environmental change.
Human–Environment Interaction : studies exploring how human activities influence environmental systems, including land-use change, environmental management, and spatial planning.
Within these themes, the journal also welcomes studies related to disaster risk reduction in environmental systems, physical geography, and geography education with an emphasis on spatial literacy. Geosfera Indonesia provides an academic platform for geographic research that integrates spatial analysis and environmental processes to support sustainable environmental management and spatially informed decision-making.
